Students in grade eleven take computer adaptive summative tests for both English language arts/literacy and mathematics (SBAC). They will soon be taking the California Science Test (CAST) once the test completes the field study phase and becomes a part of the existing SBAC assessment.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY ASSESSMENT FOR CALIFORNIA (ELPAC)Go to top
The ELPAC is given to measure English language proficiency in students who learned English as a second language. The results of this assessment determine the support students should receive for language development.

ADVANCED PLACEMENT (AP) EXAMSGo to top
Students enrolled in AP courses have the opportunity to take AP exams in May each year. Passing AP exams can earn students college credit while they are still in high school.

PRELIMINARY SAT (PSAT)Go to top
The PSAT is a standardized test administered by the College Board and co-sponsored by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) in the United States. It is a good idea to take the PSAT to practice for the SAT.

ARMED SERVICES VOCATIONAL APTITUDE BATTERY (ASVAB)Go to top
If you're serious about joining the military, then you should consider taking the ASVAB. The ASVAB is a timed multi-aptitude test, which is given at over 14,000 schools and Military Entrance Processing Stations (MEPS) nationwide and is developed and maintained by the Department of Defense.
